Disaster preparedness activities in Nagaon District under the Gol-UNDP Disaster Risk Management Programme was started in the year 2004. Since then disaster preparedness and mitigation activities are going on smoothly in the entire district.
Efforts have been made to sensitize and educate the people at the grassroots as well as for Govt. Officials, PRIs, NGOs, Volunteers, Teachers & Students. The collective effort made by Govt. Officials and the people is showing positive results in terms of preparedness and awareness about disaster risk management.
